ITM Service

Make Teller Transactions with an ITM

Complete nearly every type of teller transaction using our interactive teller machine (ITM) in the drive-up at some of our bank locations.

What is an ITM?

ITM or Interactive Teller Machines, are ATM’s with video and audio interface capabilities. They give you the option of having a face-to-face transaction with an actual First Citizens Bank employee. All Live Tellers are working from our Contact Center in Mason City, IA.

What type of transactions can be done at the ITM?

  • Cash checks
  • Withdrawals
  • Deposits (no envelope or deposit slip needed)
  • Transfers
  • Regular scheduled monthly loan payments
  • Check balances

Note: An ITM can dispense currency of the following denominations: $50, $20, $5, and $1. It will dispense the fewest amount of bills possible. However, the teller can change the number of each denomination being dispensed, based on your request. Tellers can also dispense up to 99 cents, including quarters, nickels, and pennies. Coin cannot be exchanged after it is dispensed (ITM will not accept change for deposit).

ITM Service FAQs

What are ITM’s?

ITM or Interactive Teller Machines, are ATM’s with video and audio interface capabilities. They give you the option of having a face-to-face transaction with an actual First Citizens Bank employee. All Live Tellers are working from our Contact Center in Mason City, IA.

How do live teller ITM’s work?

Similar to web chat programs, ITM’s use a built-in camera and speakers to provide the customer and the teller the ability to hear and see each other during the transaction.

Are transactions at ITM’s private?

Yes. The ITM’s provide options for additional privacy. They have a chat feature available, similar to text messaging, or customers can plug personal headphones into the machine.

What type of transactions can I do?

You can conduct nearly every type of teller transaction, just as you would in our branches. You can cash checks, make deposits (no envelope or deposit slip needed), withdraw cash, make regular scheduled loan payments, get balances, and transfer funds.

How do I cash a check?

We can cash your check to the exact amount, all you need is a valid ID. When our Live Teller instructs, you’ll simply insert the check into the designated area on the machine. An image of your check will appear on the screen, and you can tell us if you want to deposit or cash it. For your records, a small image of the physical check will be printed on your receipt.

How do I make a cash deposit?

The machine will read and count each bill and will display the deposit amount on the screen for verification. If you have several bills, we recommend adding about 30 bills at a time.

Can I use the ITM without talking to a Live Teller?

Yes. The ITM works as a regular ATM until you tap the button to let us know you want to talk.

Can I use the ITM without my debit card?

Yes. Forgot your debit card? No problem. You can use a driver’s license for identification at the ITM.

What type of bills does the ITM dispense?

An ITM can dispense currency of the following denominations: $50, $20, $5, and $1.

Do I need to show my ID?

Yes. Just like when you come inside our locations, a valid form of ID is required to conduct certain transactions. You will be asked to scan your valid ID for proper identification.

Is the ITM secure?

Yes. When banking with an ITM your transactions are as secure as if you were doing an in-person transaction in one of our branches. Just like in a branch we may require an ID for identification purposes, and for security purposes all transactions are recorded. In addition, there are parameters set up to prevent potential fraud.

Are ITMs replacing First Citizens Bank employees?

NO! When you use a First Citizens Bank ITM you will be served by an FCB team member. Live Tellers work remotely from a central location. Of course, the employees inside your local FCB location are there to help in-person as needed.

Can business transactions be conducted on the ITM?

Yes, business customers can do simple transactions by using our Live Tellers on the ITM. However, large transactions or change orders will still need to be conducted inside the bank or at our main lane of the drive-thru.

Can non-First Citizens customers use an FCB ITM?

Yes, non-FCB customers can use our ITMs like a regular ATM to withdraw cash using their debit card and PIN. They can also use the Live Teller to cash checks drawn on First Citizens Bank accounts.

Are the ITMs handicap accessible?

Yes, our ITMs are ADA compliant. A type/text feature and a spot to plug in headphones are available for those in need of specialized assistance.

What hours will the ITM be available with a Live Teller?

All ITMs will have Live Teller service from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Saturdays the Live Teller service is available from 8:30 am to Noon.

Which First Citizens Bank locations will offer the ITM service?

Current plans are for the following locations to be live with ITMs by May 31, 2024: Charles City, Iowa; Osage, Iowa; New Hampton, Iowa; and Mora, Minnesota. These machines will be installed in April and May 2024. Check with your local First Citizens Bank location for specific go-live dates.
