Must be between the ages of 13 - 25 to open a First Checking Account. Customers age 17 and under are required to have a parent/adult on their account until age 18.

Your FREE Debit Card*
You'll receive a First Citizens MasterCard® Debit Card in the mail as well as a PIN.
- Activate Your Debit Card: When you receive your debit card in the mail, follow the instructions and call the number provided to activate your card before use.
- Receive/Change Your PIN: When you receive your PIN number in the mail (usually a separate mailing from your card), be sure to remember the four-digit security code. You can change your PIN at any time. Do NOT share your PIN with anyone.
- $250/Day Limit: There is a limit of $250 per day including purchases and ATM withdrawals.

First Checking Debit Card FAQs
How does a debit card work?
Debit card payments are subtracted from your checking account immediately. If you don’t have enough money in your account, your debit card will be declined. Your PIN may or may not be required when making debit card transactions.
Need cash? You can use your debit card at an ATM to get cash. Your PIN is required for ATM withdrawals. You can also get cash back when making a purchase at a store with your debit card.

Is there a limit on my debit card with First Checking?
Yes, there is a $250 per day limit.
What do I do if my debit card gets lost or stolen?
Monday - Friday between 8:00am - 5:00pm, please call us at 800-423-1602.
If after our business hours, please call SHAZAM at 1-800-383-8000.
For suspected fraudulent transactions on your debit card, please call SHAZAM Falcon Fraud Assistance at 1-866-508-2693.
What if I forget my PIN or want to change my PIN?
