An arrangement in which a trustee manages property for the benefit of an individual or organization (the trustor). This can benefit people who need assistance managing financial affairs, those who want to keep family assets intact for future generations, families who want to reduce exposure to estate and inheritance taxes, and clients who want to pass assets to a charitable organization. In acting as Executor, we carry out the terms of the will with respect to the disposition of assets.

Settling an estate can be a complex and time-consuming matter. Administration and distribution of an estate by a corporate executor offers timely collection, valuation and distribution of assets, monitoring taxes and other expenses, along with asset management.

Often times, the responsibility of serving as Executor is not fully considered in determining the right person to act.  The responsibility of "settling an estate" is not an honor to be given to a faithful friend or a trusted relative - unless they possess the necessary knowledge, skill, time and temperament to handle the demanding and often complex requirements.  Even then, the emotional toll on family members and friends to handle affairs during a period of grief should not be underestimated.   Settling an estate or winding up a revocable living trust at the death of the creator, involves many complex steps.

Our experienced and caring team can help you. We take the emotion out of the process.  Whether acting as Executor of an estate or successor trustee of a living trust, we have the knowledge of tax law, business arrangements, property law, and investment management that are critical to the proper and timely settling of an estate. We are able to provide clarity and caring during a difficult time to allow your loved ones and beneficiaries to move forward.
